Privacy Policy

Nurture ("we", "our", or "the app") is built by Umami Engineering. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information — or, more accurately, how we don't.

Our Philosophy

We believe your family's data belongs to you. Nurture was designed from the ground up to keep your information private, secure, and under your control. We don't collect personal data, we don't track your behavior, and we don't sell anything to anyone.

Data Storage

All data you enter into Nurture — your child's name, birthday, milestones, activities, and notes — is stored locally on your device. We never see it, and we have no way to access it.

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple under their privacy policy. We cannot access your iCloud data.

What We Don't Collect

• No personal information. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information.
• No account required. There is no registration, no login, no password.
• No location data. We don't access your device's location.
• No contacts or photos. We don't access your contacts, camera, or photo library unless you explicitly attach a photo to an activity.
• No advertising. There are no ads in Nurture, and we share no data with advertisers.
• No third-party analytics. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tracking tools.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous, aggregate usage statistics. This helps us understand how features are used so we can improve the app. TelemetryDeck is designed to be privacy-first:

• All data is automatically hashed and anonymized
• No personally identifiable information is ever collected
• No user profiles are created
• Data cannot be traced back to individual users
• TelemetryDeck is GDPR-compliant and does not require cookie consent

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, notification scheduling is handled entirely on your device. We don't operate push notification servers, and we don't know whether you have notifications enabled.

Data Deletion

You can delete any child's profile at any time from within the app, which removes all associated data from your device. If you've enabled iCloud sync, deleting a profile also removes the data from iCloud. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

Nurture is a tool for parents and caregivers. The app does not collect data from children. All information entered is provided by the adult user and stored only on their device or in their private iCloud account.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll note the changes here and update the "last updated" date. For significant changes, we'll provide notice within the app.
